Owned by Chef David Gussin, our menu celebrates California’s seasonal bounty with dishes that are innovative yet approachable, focusing on fresh ingredients and bold flavors. This is a unique opportunity to join our opening team, work closely with an experienced chef, and contribute to shaping the culinary identity of a new restaurant.
Position: Sous Chef/CDC
We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef/CDC to help lead our back-of-house team. You’ll collaborate directly with Chef Gussin to oversee daily operations, maintain food quality, and support the growth and development of the kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute and maintain high standards for food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations.
Collaborate on menu development and seasonal specials.
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure teamwork and efficiency.
Manage inventory, food costs, and kitchen cleanliness.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or CDC in upscale or high-volume restaurants.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
Expertise in modern cooking techniques, seasonal ingredients, and plating.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
A passion for food and hospitality, with a commitment to excellence.
