We are currently hiring for field positions. Specifically lead carpenters and Foremans for both the residential and commercial (public works) departments! We are seeking skilled Carpenters and Foremans to join our team. Carpentry and foreman positions available for general building contractor that works in all phases of construction, residential and commercial. Experience is preferred but not necessary, willing to train. Pay depends on experience and qualifications.
As a key member of our team (foreman position), you will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, within budget, and on schedule. Your role will involve collaborating closely with our project managers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver exceptional results that exceed expectations.
**Responsibilities for Foremans:**
- Manage day-to-day on-site operations, including scheduling, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing all construction activities.
- Ensure that projects are executed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Inspect work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines.
- Foster a culture of excellence and teamwork among on-site personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Communicate regularly with project managers and clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or requests.
- Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and RFIs.
- Ensures that work is being done in a safe and efficient manner and maintains excellent quality
- Trains crews in accordance with safety procedures and conducts weekly safety & training meetings
- Inspects equipment daily to ensure proper and safe operation
- Ability to read blueprints and understand the contractual obligations for each job site and communicate it and direct the work of the crew accordingly
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to work in Sonoma, and Marin counties.
2+ years of continuous experience in residential remodeling and/or new construction.
Must have the ability to think creatively and problem-solve.
Ability to lead a team of 3 to 4 crew members. (If running work)
Must be well-organized and proactively plan out daily job requirements
Must have a reliable and verifiable work history in the building trades.
Must be detail oriented and able to complete assignments on time.
Ability to communicate well with others (as needed).
Must have excellent customer service with clients.
Drinking and drugs will not be tolerated on the job site.
Must be able to legally work in the US and provide proof.
