Immediate opening for Electrician's Helper. ELECTRICAL FIELD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Even if just a few years in the field getting dirty! This is NOT an internship, apprenticeship, or learn-on-the-job opportunity. Materials needed on specific projects are provided, though having some tools of your own is helpful.
Our mornings usually start on our project sites around 7am or 7:30am, depending on the job site, no later than about 8am to start the day, with no set ending time - though usually not to exceed 8.5 hours including time for lunch and our field employees may be routed to multiple locations in a single day. Mondays through Fridays - Weekends off.
MUST HAVE: Reliable transportation, ability to pass a criminal background check. Must be able to communicate with our owner, office staff, other employees, and clients in clear, unbroken English.
Our primary projects are high-end residential remodels, including low voltage, receptacles, EV chargers, switches, timers, lights, etc, requiring crawling through attics or under houses. We also do residential repairs. We service several townhouse/condo/apartment communities with Homeowner Association requirements and considerations.
This is considered a "full-time" opportunity. Our workdays are scheduled around our client needs, meaning a workday may not be a full 8 hours and a week may not be a full 40 hours, however, our employees have recently had a steady stream of daily working hours.
Most projects located within 7-10 mile radius on the westside (Mar Vista, Venice, West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Westwood, Beverly Hills, Culver City, Century City, West Mid-City). Some long-time clients or worthwhile projects may exceed this radius taking us into the valley or slightly beyond, but 90% of our work is south of Mulholland and west of La Brea. You should live within 10-20 miles of West Los Angeles area - at maximum! (San Gabriel, Inland Empire, Orange/Riverside County should not apply)
We are an Electrical General Contractor in business 40+ years located near Marina Del Rey. The owner works in the field, usually starting his day with the team or checking in at the job sites. Our employees are paid every other Friday via payroll direct deposit. Our employees have never had to "wonder" when they are getting paid!
Payroll company requires W-4 tax document (and checking account for direct deposit). At holiday time, the week between Christmas and New Years, our office is closed, and our field employees have been paid 40 hours for that week of "vacation".
