Job Summary
The primary role of the Assistant Front Office Manager is to assist the Front Office Manager with all duties including supporting Front Desk and Valet team members in their success and growth, assisting with all day-to-day hotel operations, improving processes, and ensuring the highest level of customer service and guest satisfaction.
Job Description
- Assists with supervision and scheduling of all Front Office employees
- Ensures all Front Office staff are trained and confident in all operations and procedures, provides thoughtful, and personalized ongoing training
- Understands all hotel emergency controls and procedures, responds appropriately and assumes supervisory role in any hotel emergency or safety situation as needed
- Identifies and recommends solutions to Front Office team members and Front Office Manager to further employee development, drive revenue, and improve hotel processes
- Covers Valet and/or Front Desk shifts as needed, including vacations, illnesses, etc.
- Acts as a point of reference for guests who need assistance, resolves guest concerns and complaints efficiently and courteously and/or correctly refers issues to upper management
- Sets a positive example for coworker and guest relations, empowers team members through feedback, recognition, service, and empathy
- Understands all hotel departmental tasks including Housekeeping and Maintenance and assists as needed
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with all hotel departments as well as Chandlers restaurant
- Assists in ordering, and monthly inventory of gift shop items and Front Office supplies
- Works to develop and maintain a positive and supportive work culture
- Performs and assists with other duties as assigned or requested
- Previous experience in a customer-focused industry. Previous hotel experience preferred
- Experience in a leadership or management role preferred
- Passion for people. Comfortable conversing with new people, resolving conflict, desire to help others succeed
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism and integrity at all times
- Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, time management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Patience, initiative and adaptability
- Problem and risk analysis and a resourceful approach to challenges

- Competent level of IT proficiency and basic accounting knowledge
- Valid Drivers License, basic driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on the operations schedule
