10 Speed Coffee is looking for baristas for its newest shop in Frogtown, located right on the LA River Trail. We’re looking for kind, motivated people who love coffee and bikes as much as we do. Prior cafe experience isn’t necessary, but is appreciated. We’ll be opening this new location in the coming weeks, which means you have the opportunity to work with all new equipment in a newly built-out space.

10 Speed Coffee has been roasting in Los Angeles since 2011, with three locations on the Westside. We are a community of cyclists who wanted quality coffee near our favorite places to ride, and have built on that ideal since our inception. We work hard to create welcoming spaces for everyone - whether you’re fueling up for a century ride or a mid-term paper.
Who we’re looking for

Anyone who’s passionate about coffee and hospitality (and ideally cycling.) You want to serve your community delicious drinks, and care about details big and small to make an environment that’s welcoming to everyone. You move with purpose and care as much about a clean table as you care about a perfectly pulled shot. You can do a trackstand while pouring a rosetta. Okay that one isn’t necessary, but bonus points!
Physical Requirements

In order to work this job, you must be able to do the following, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Move around the cafe frequently during your shift
- Operate large cafe equipment, such as espresso machines, ovens, and dishwashers
- Communicate effectively with customers throughout your shift
- Frequently move items weighing up to 50lbs
- Drink coffee throughout your shift for quality control purposes
Compensation & Benefits

- $17/hr plus tips - comes out to $25-30/hr based on other locations
