European Techniques is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. This position will provide oversight and overall management of single or multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities
· Analyze job requirements, define scope, and set project timelines for submittals, fabrication, and installation.
· Review and QC all submittal/shop drawings prior to client review.
· Communicate directly with contractors, architects, vendors, and subcontractors in a professional and timely manner.
· Negotiate and manage subcontracts for stone, stainless steel, and upholstery.
· Purchase specialty materials.
· Attain and check field measurements; coordinate with other trades to ensure successful installation (backing locations and mechanical/electrical rough ins).
· Work with Accounting in accurately processing billings to customers/contractors.
· Analyze projects to determine scope, schedule requirements, and coordinate with production and installation on priorities to effectively deliver projects on time and within budget.
· Issue field coordination reports to customers and contractors when necessary.
· Coordinate with installation in completing the last 1% of the job and all punch lists, submit guarantees, warranties and owner’s manuals as required.
· Monitor the progress of the assigned projects; correspondence, progress billings, and field reports and keep Operations Manager informed of unresolved problems.
· Provide weekly input to Operations Manager for projects at risk.
· Price, process and chase down change order proposals from the general contractor and coordinate with Estimating Department when required.
· Participate with other division personnel in establishing and setting and attaining goals for the division to develop new methods, techniques, systems, and ideas to improve the performance of the company.
Qualifications and skills
· 1 year experience in architectural millwork or a similar industry.
· 1 year experience construction / millwork project management.
· Knowledge of Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) Standards.
· Able to read architectural drawings/ blueprints.
· Advanced to intermediate MS Excel skills.
· Familiarity with using Bluebeam, Microvellum, AutoCAD, and Adobe PDF
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
· Ability to take initiative and be proactive.
· Organizational skills.
