The projects we handle are large to small. Full home renovations or changing a faucet. If you feel you are too good for any aspect, high or low, you are not our person. If you don’t judge any of it, and just want to go, then let’s go. You check that box. If you are faking it till you make it, that’s fine but be malleable in that, available to become it. If you are set in your ways you won’t be with us and it will show quickly. If you are open to do whatever the job entails in that moment, you have checked another box.
We recently lost the person you are replacing because he had to move to support a family member in another city. He didn’t want to leave but did because his beliefs were that strong in supporting others. Be that. Check that box.
Back to abilities. We can hire for any insufficiency you have, but we expect you to be able to do a majority of tasks better than we do. We carry no ego and are happy to find out how someone does it better than us, we invite it. It’s just as important you allow the same. Be open to new, different and other possibilities. We discuss most everything to see if together we can grow it, grow the original concept of how it should be done but we do it selflessly so there is no ego in the room. Can you do that? You can ask any question and request anything that is warranted. As long as you know it is for the good of all of us and you can show why you deserve it or why we should change. Are you a thinker that adds to the worksite, the design, the way the company runs? Check that box.
We have cultivated our work style in others and we have asked others to leave because we were misled in their intentions or they simply were not a fit to our culture. You come in peace and if we are not a fit you walk in peace. Check that box.
There is no judgement in others nor will there be a want to judge you. Can you talk with, work with and be with another person without constantly judging them? Of course it happens but how do you steer it when it does? Are you helpful, excited to raise another up, willing to take your time to do so? Check that box.
