Innovative, architectural fabrication company seeking full-time, motivated and eager fabricator to work in a fast paced, diverse and deadline oriented environment. Position is shop and field based. Must be able to work with little supervision. Good attitude and work ethic a must. Meticulous attention to detail and strong desire to learn equally important. Must be flexible and team oriented. Compensation based on experience and performance. Must be available 40+ hours per week. Position requires an experienced individual to both Weld and Fabricate using various tools, materials and techniques to create and install individual projects based on customer specifications/renderings.
DUTIES/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The desired candidate is to be an effective communicator and team player with the ability to multitask, follow work instruction and maintain both accountability and accurate work documentation through a start to finish fab process
Perform TIG and MIG welding on a variety of materials (brass, bronze, stainless, aluminum, steel, etc
Interpretation of manuals, design specifications, blueprints, SAE and metric drawings
Perform standard shop math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Use and knowledge of all core welding/fabrication tools to weld, cut, trim, or scarf metal objects to dimensions, as required by purchase or work orders.
Knowledge and familiarity with basic shop tools and maintenance
Inspection of both raw material and finished product for conformance to specifications.
Effective communication and organization
Maintain a clean, safe and organized work space
Attention to detail, precise measuring and strong finishing skills
Ability to complete installations offsite independently utilizing critical thinking and problem solving skills as necessary
Knowledge of waterjet operation and CNC routing a plus
Woodwork, foam, MDF, stone and other substrate knowledge a plus
Experience with paint/patina a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Heavy lifting required.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
* Minimum 3 years experience in construction/fabrication field.
* Certified welder preferred, not required.
* Stainless, Brass, Bronze experience preferred
COMPENSATION:
*Starting at $25-$30/hr based on experience and performance
