Position Overview:
As a Class A Driver/Mover/Packer, you will be responsible for transporting household and business items, assisting with packing and loading, and ensuring the safe delivery of belongings. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service. We are currently seeking both company drivers and independent contractors.
Responsibilities:
• Safely drive a Class A vehicle to transport goods to and from client locations.
• Load, unload, and secure items in the vehicle to prevent damage during transport.
• Perform full inventory of items to be moved and accurately identify all exceptions using a tablet.
• Assist with packing items, including fragile and valuable goods, ensuring proper packing techniques are used.
• Communicate with clients to ensure all instructions are followed and their needs are met.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service during all stages of the move.
• Complete accurate and timely driver logs.
Qualifications:
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Previous moving, packing, or driving experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable using technology such as, tablet, smart phone, and computer.
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
