Job Duties: This position involves pulling orders, palletizing, boxing product, and loading trucks with products from a refrigerated warehouse using load sheets and schematics. Repetitive standing, walking, bending, heavy lifting, pushing/pulling to 75 lbs. Cold environment; approximately 35 degrees F. Requires accuracy and attention to detail. English proficiency required. Previous warehouse or material moving experience preferred.
Qualifications being sought include:
• When necessary, conduct daily and or/monthly inventories.
• Must have a safety mindset at all times and be able to coach and enforce policy; ensure proper footwear or other PPE is always worn while working, based on the task.
• Ensure all departmental paperwork is accurate and complete on a daily basis. This may include but is not limited to daily truck sheet, short sheet, SJ trailer list, and any other pertinent departmental paperwork.
• Verify, check for accuracy and scan all SQF documentation on a daily basis.
• Print work via eRMS for crews to load routes.
• Double check orders to be loaded for routes.
• Assist in the development and oversight of the departments daily routine. This may include assigning additional duties, helping in areas where we are understaffed, and adjusting duties based on workload and daily staffing.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Must have good working knowledge of MS Office applications and be able to quickly learn other software as needed.
• Maintain good communication with other departments on product needs, vehicle or route assignments and vehicle malfunctions or issues.
• Ensure all pallet jack inspection tags are completed by employees at the beginning of every shift.
• Issue a verbal warning to employees that have not completed the inspection form followed by progressive discipline if it is an ongoing issue.
• Will cover shifts when short staffed as needed.
• Knowledge on moving yard dog to move trailers.
• Will cover any supervisory responsibilities if supervisor or manager is not on duty.
• Assemble and organize paperwork for load out.
• As needed, will be required to perform duties as listed in the “Product Control Worker” job description.
• As needed, will be required to perform duties as listed in the “Product Control Supervisor” job description.
• Prompt and regular attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
