Eurodad is looking for a Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer - Climate Justice to efficiently and effectively work with our Development Finance team.

This role, within Eurodad’s Development Finance and Debt Justice teams, will advance work at the intersection of development finance, debt and climate finance. It includes work around the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, multilateral development banks and development finance institutions. The role primarily involves conducting advocacy and networking, alongside producing robustly researched analysis, with a strong advocacy focus. By doing so, this role actively contributes to building strong and effective coalitions for change, helping to empower and bring together civil society organisations in Europe and globally. The successful candidate will work at the cutting edge of development finance, debt and climate justice campaigns and advocacy for transformative change. They will require strong policy analysis and interpersonal communication skills, and be selfmotivated with the ability to plan, organise and implement activities on their own initiative, while ensuring strong cooperation with our members and allies – both in Europe and globally, including in the Global South. They will have experience working with advocacy focussed civil society groups or similar organisations and have a good working knowledge of relevant international institutions, climate finance and development cooperation debates.
Key contacts: Eurodad colleagues, Eurodad members and civil society organisations in Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America and the US. The role also entails direct engagement with academics and think tanks, officials in organisations such as the European Commission and Parliament, United Nations, World Bank and IMF, and the OECD.
Contract & location: Brussels-based* with some flexibility allowing for remote working. Permanent and full-time contract.

Gross annual salary in Belgium* range between € 67,500- € 78,293 (incl. vouchers, holiday pay and end of year bonus), depending on skills and experience.
