Job Title: Optician & Optometric Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Starting $14.00 - $16.00 per hour plus bonus
Office Hours
Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
- Assisting the optometrist with the examination
- Preparing patient charts by completing medical history and chief complaint
- Perform preliminary testing for comprehensive eye examinations
- Performing basic tasks such as cleaning equipment, preparing examination rooms, and sterilizing equipment
- Perform insertion and removal training for contact lenses for new contact lens wearers
- Fulfill Optometrist’s eyeglass prescriptions and recommendation for frame and lenses
- Complete orders for contact lens prescriptions from Optometrist
- Check on status and notify patients when orders are ready or delayed
- Pulling vision insurance authorizations and explaining benefits
- Perform quality inspection of eyeglasses orders prior to dispensing
- Dispense completed glasses and contact lens orders to patients
- Ensure all customer service complaints are addressed effectively
- Review reasons for glasses remakes and follow protocol to correct
- Strict adherence to HIPAA compliance standards
- Follow store cleanliness policies
- Demonstrate and explain the appropriate use and care of eyeglasses and lenses wear
- Other duties assigned
