A well-established metal fabricator is looking for a talented hands-on HR Manager due to retirement. This position will lead HR at their South Louisville, KY facility and has a tenured HR Generalist to assist. This position is both day-to-day HR as well as strategic, as HR is seen as an integral part of the leadership team. Expertise in talent acquisition and employee relations will be needed to maintain their numerous engagement programs and amazingly low turnover rate. Highlighted Duties:
- Responsible for as aspects of Human Resources and Safety
- HR point of contact to managers and employees as the facility’s HR leader (in coordination with HR Generalist)
- Oversee Recruitment, On-Boarding, Training, Employee Development, Performance Reviews, Employee Relations, Payroll/Timekeeping and Benefits Administration
- Oversee compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive wage levels
- Responsible for annual HR budget; perform cost and productivity analysis when needed
- Ensure all company HR policies and procedures as well as state and federal employment laws and regulations are maintained and reported correctly
- Evaluate company culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish company goals and objectives
Highlighted Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required
- 3+ years’ broad base experience in Human Resources and Safety in the manufacturing industry
- 1+ years in a HR management role leading department staff
- Strong interpersonal skills needed, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven success in talent acquisition and employee retention
- Serve as employee advocate and catalyst to develop and maintain a highly engaged and productive workforce
- Current knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy needed to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks
- Seeking motivated, positive and self-directed individual
