JOB SUMMARY:The
Facilities and EHS Manager is responsible for managing the facilities activities that support the vision and strategic goals for NWM. The Facilities and EHS Manager plans, organizes, maintains, and controls all facilities and equipment to ensure that all operations are held to the appropriate requirements. Role also supports Environmental, Health, and Safety functions to ensure a safe and compliant workspace.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Facilities Management- Work collaboratively with adjacent departments to strategize and plan facility maintenance and repairs.
- Evaluate and define facility metrics to ensure proper assignment of resources and effectively communicate facility issues, downtimes, and collaboratively seek resolution.
- Monitor facility activities and plan onsite and offsite activities with contractors and internal customers.
- Evaluate, initiate, and coordinate facility improvements and expansions.
- Functional ownership of controlled environments within the campus.
- Plan, manage, and monitor construction projects and proposed improvements.
- Proactively manage supplier relationships with contractors so that SOW and agreed on deliverables are met within established timelines.
- Manage contracts and pricing with 3rd party suppliers.
- Provide facility and maintenance budgeting support for fiscal planning.
- Manage facility housekeeping, pest control, security, and building floorplans.
Environmental, Health, and Safety Management- Evaluates, monitors, and manages waste streams and chemical permit process.
- Evaluates and develops strategy to meet EHS needs for compliance with local and federal requirements.
- Collaborates with human resources on employee related injuries and prevention programs.
- Plans and delivers routine safety training to various team members.
- Reviews, manages, and collaborates on emergency action plans with human resources.
Leadership and Resource Management- Manage and strategize current and future resources based on availability, skillset, and department commitments.
- Select, develop, coach, and mentor current and future personnel needs.
- Monitor and develop metrics for performance management reviews.
- Develop goals to support short term and long-term company goals.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:- Ability to review and interpret construction blueprints and equipment schematics.
- Ability to create, draft, and revise AutoCAD files for entire campus.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, data, and plumbing methods of construction and maintenance.
- Strong experience in management and understanding of cleanroom design, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Demonstrated project management experience in facility, construction, and EHS management.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of general construction methods and trades.
- Knowledge and experience with federal, state, and county facility requirements.
- Knowledge and experience with external standards: ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and 21 CFR 820 (FDA cGMP/QSR), EU MDD, TGA, MHW, especially pertaining good manufacturing practices and equipment maintenance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience in with a minimum of 5+ years in leadership role.
- Preferred experience in Medical Device industry or in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in the sciences, engineering, or facilities/construction management.
- Experience in facility maintenance with focus on both administrative and manufacturing/production settings.
- Experience in facility focused equipment maintenance systems (MEP) and processes for both preventative and corrective measures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer printer, computer keyboard, calculator, etc.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and transport them to other offices. This may be performed with reasonable accommodation.
- View and type on computer screens for long periods of time.

Salary Description
$115,000 - $127,000
