Looking for: Studio Technician
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Studio Technician to join our creative team. This position involves hands-on work in our ceramics and sculptural studio, supporting the smooth operation of day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reclaim and process clay using studio machinery
• Keep the studio organized and clean, ensuring all work areas are safe and functional
• Maintain and repair studio equipment as needed
• Load and unload boxes of clay and bags of plaster (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly)
• Support artists and staff with various studio tasks
• Assist with studio preparation for classes and events
Requirements:
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with basic hand tools and machinery
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must be able to keep a clean and safe working environment
• Interest in learning about ceramics and sculptural work
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a studio setting (ceramics, sculpture, or other related fields)
• Familiarity with clay, plaster, and basic studio equipment
