Apple is seeking an experienced Hardware Architect to support AC Engineering. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of repairing Apple devices, running multiple simultaneous experiments, and communicating results to peers, leadership, and 3rd parties.
The person filling this position must be a hands-on, focused, self-motivated with excellent communication, technical and organizational skills, with a strong desire to succeed in a challenging environment.
Description
You will design, develop, run, and document experiments focused on the serviceability of Apple products.
You will drive and track Product Design, Repairability and Regulatory standards / regulations and their impact to Apple's service business.
Work with cross-functional teams to help inform design decisions, communicate risks, and explore new options for service design.
Design processes for Apple products across every product line, document the process, and communicate results.
Manage and maintain a lab environment including ordering supplies, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
Set up new repair, test, and lab equipment, as necessary.
Prepare presentations, charts, and graphs for presentation of results to engineering, operations, and management as needed
