Seeking process engineer (for bulk dry solids) who will help develop handling/processing systems for food, pharma, and chemical! Working alongside an experienced team, you will design process flows involving premade equipment (drawings provided), transition pieces, mezzanines, and support structures. You will interface with an in-house fab team to build systems that will store, convey, mill, sift, package, and inspect products. Sometimes you will modify pre-existing equipment, and if you have a good idea for a new machine you will spearhead that project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Develop project timelines
Make decisions considering other departments (project management, sales/estimating, accounting, purchasing, fabrication, etc.)
Complete designs that minimize back-and-forth during fabrication/assembly/install.
Complete projects from conception to installation (draw a process or design, create a bill of materials, create build sheets as required, review/approve drawing supplied by others, create and maintain timelines for completion, do final QA before shipping to customer.)
Analyze the structural stability of platforms and structures.
Utilize internal company programs to organize and communicate project information efficiently.

Prerequisites (Education, Experience):
Experience with food processing or packaging equipment
Collaborative/sincere disposition as opposed to egotistical
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience developing both 2D and 3D models and detailed drawings
Experience using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD
Skills and Core Competencies Preferred:
Legitimate interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
Consultative selling and problem solving.
Compensation:
Salary: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 DOE
