Under direction of the Loaned Equipment Manager, Loaned Equipment Driver delivers and picks up loaned equipment from customers. The position drives a truck and /or trailers. Vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of as much as (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or heavier and requires a commercial driver’s license A and all other applicable endorsements. The Loaned Equipment Driver is required to operate a forklift truck to load and unload a wide variety of products. They are also responsible for building/repairing/maintaining equipment and for communicating with customers and fellow coworkers such as salesmen, CSRs or plant managers for scheduling purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow Code of Safe Practices.
Follow appropriate safety and unloading/loading procedures for transporting/delivering hazardous materials.
Operate a forklift truck to safely load and unload a wide variety of products from trucks and trailers without damage to product or warehouse property.
Drive trucks with capacities greater than three (3) tons to transport and deliver products.
Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal requirements.
Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Read all paperwork as well as regularly reviewing the ‘project list’ to determine assignment details.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from flagger (when possible) and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
Operate equipment, such as radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with the plant, supervisors, or other drivers.
Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services, when required.
Regularly communicate with Loaned Equipment manager and coordinator on projects to ensure timely service and completion of paperwork.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with hours from Monday through Friday, starting from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Evening and weekend work may be required based on job demands.
Work Environment:
This job is primarily performed in a mobile environment, operating a Class A commercial vehicle on highways, local roads, and at various customer sites. Drivers may be exposed to varying weather conditions, traffic patterns, and noise levels. While performing duties, occasional stops may require work outdoors or in warehouse settings, depending on delivery requirements.
Physical Demands:
This job requires moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily production/technical nature. The employee must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Travel:
This position will be based in West Sacramento.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of related commercial driving experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) is required.
HAZMAT Endorsement
CDL Air Brakes Endorsement
Eligible to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC®)
Current DOT Medical Exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification
Clean DMV record
Must be able to safely operate an automatic and manual transmission refined fuel tanker truck.
