The applicant will perform strategic planning and policy implementation for the Commander at the United States Space Force (USSF) Innovation and Prototyping (SZI) Acquisition Delta
Responsibilities
- The applicant will perform strategic planning and policy implementation for the Commander at the United States Space Force (USSF) Innovation and Prototyping (SZI) Acquisition Delta .
- This includes creating new organizational concepts, assessing unit impacts in technical, financial, and morale dimensions as well as integration impacts to the enterprise.
- The applicant will be responsible for developing Space Force and mission level acquisition strategies, plans, and concepts to support customers’ strategic and tactical objectives.
- The applicant will create new visions and messaging for the organization and cross-cutting concepts for improving portfolio management
Skills Required
- Master’s degree in Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, and Science Technology, Engineering, or Statistics required
- The position requires at least 15 years of government acquisition experience of which 5 years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of space programs
- Applicant should be proficient in the use of M/S office applications, i.e., M/S Outlook, Project, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Excel.
- Superior verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
- Applicant must be able to create, cultivate, and communicate innovative concepts and Courses of Action (COAs) anchored by expert analysis developed by the applicant.
- Extensive program management experience, strategic communication/planning experience, and senior-level government space acquisition experience.
- Material Leader experience and/or successful completion of DAU’s PMT 401 is highly desired.
- Possess strong knowledge of the DoD protocol, acquisition, operational, and project management processes and policies.
- A top-secret level clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
