Role OverviewResponsible for ensuring that Claim Adjustors provide an equitable and timely settlement of cargo claims with the customers and accurately access all claim accountability. Ensure their department is managed with proper training to ensure all Claim policy, federal regulations and ethical standards are adhered to. Monitor, track and development of processes to meet department goals. Handle departmental personnel issues such as PTO, STD, hiring and disciplinary actions. Monitor and control budget requirements for the department and provide authorization for high dollar settlements and all no charges. Handle escalated issues from agents, haulers and customers and ensure an equitable solution facts.
Responsibilities - 50(%) Ensure Claim Adjustors provide a timely and equitable settlement of cargo claims and proper assessment of accountability chargeback's. Ensure claim policy, federal regulations and ethical standards are followed for all settlement and chargeback's.
- 20(%) Monitor trends, track individual/team results, development of processes, and train to ensure department productivity, days to settle, backlog, chargeback quality, frequency, severity goals are met. Assist setting budget and ensure department budget goals are met.
- 20(%) Handle departmental personnel factors such as PTO, STD, hiring, PPP's, and disciplinary actions.
- 10(%) Discuss and resolve escalated issues from haulers, agents and customers. required.
Qualifications- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- College degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years experience is claim adjustment or customer service.
- Previous lead or supervisor experience preferred
- Claim settlement decisions in excess of $15 million and chargeback decisions exceeding $6 million.
- Reliability status security clearance granted by CIISD, PSPC is required; the security clearance application will be facilitated via the Sirva Company Security Officer (CSO)(candidates need to have 5 consecutive years of verifiable history of living in Canada)
