Purpose of JobDevelopment of new business opportunities in international markets for inorganic products from Lake Charles and Tucson Evaluation of potential new application areas for AM. Protection and preservation of existing businesses. Assurance of product availability / quality in consultation with Sales and Production. Customer liaison and technical marketing and sales of products in defined regions and/or application areas. Provide technical guidance for the research activities for Alumina.
Key Accountabilities - Development of marketing and product strategies set by the priorities of the division in close alignment with customer needs.
- Development and recommendation of future product and technology related concepts in consultation with R&T, operations and customers.
- Marketing Plan: Provide customer and market input for the definition of the yearly marketing and product plan as well as the product portfolio in consultation with the division management and Senior Manager Technical Marketing.
- Screen and monitor existing and potential new markets for inorganic specialties. Identify new target customers and develop new (tailor-made) products with close customer involvement.
- Assurance of the realization of the target sales figures for products and quantities within the area of responsibility in consultation with the Senior Manager Technical Marketing and Senior Manager Commercial and Sales, and the plants in Lake Charles and Tucson.
- Developing and maintaining contacts to our accounts.
- Developing new contacts and relationships especially on a technical level in the market.
- Acquisition and analysis of information about competitive products and market trends.
- Coordination and monitoring of research and IP activities for new projects and products with our R&D teams.
Formal EducationWorking Experience - 3+ years work experience in the chemical industry or research and development
