Job Summary
The Senior Systems Integration Analyst is the primary support contact for assigned interfaces in relationship to Corepoint Interface Engine, Epic and other assigned applications including biomedical devices. With minimal supervision, this position serves as a mentor to other team members, coordinates the analysis, technical design, build, testing, on-going monitoring and all issue triage/resolution necessary to implement and support assigned interfaces and inter-system integration points following team processes. Works closely with the interface project manager, application teams, and technical teams to ensure that interfaces meet the needs of -our end users, while maintaining high security standard.
Essential Functions
Manages the entire cycle of interface application development, including analysis, design, specification, interface build, implementation, go-live, support documentation, and on-going support. Works with stakeholders, including subject matter experts and third-party application experts to determine business needs for interfaces, document the requirements, and configure the interfaces per the requirements. Responsible for coordinating various interface specific tasks and activities such as testing, build, conversion/cutover/planning, and go-live support by engaging subject matter experts, vendors, and interface engine developers. Works with the interface engine developers to develop data-translation routines and methods to support Epic’s external systems’ data and format needs. Works collaboratively with the interface project manager and the rest of the Epic team to ensure that results are achieve and deadlines met. Identify process improvements for existing and new interfaces. Works closely with application teams to determine the business needs for interfaces and to develop interfaces to meet integration requirements, and to diagnose and resolve interface-related issues. Document procedures and interfaces for operations staff. Responsible for coordinating all updates and upgrades related to interfaces to ensure appropriate support procedures are in place. Follow appropriate change control procedures and documentation for testing and implementing interfaces. Develop and maintain appropriate disaster recovery documentation related to interfaces and sequencing of system recoveries. May be required to be on call on a scheduled basis. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance or clinical discipline required.
Experience/Training
Minimum six years’ experience in hospital information services setting with an understanding of translating data from one system to another, interfacing techniques system work flow, working knowledge of data feeds and integration engine technologies. Experience supporting, implementing and leading complex integration projects required. Healthcare application experience required. Hands-on knowledge of Health Level 7 (HL7) and Extensible Markup Language (XML) messaging standards and structures required. Technical training in UNIX/Linux and/or Windows, technical infrastructure in a healthcare setting preferred.
License/Certifications
Must maintain Epic certification, required within six months of hire, employees will be given two chances to pass the certification test.

Familiar with the information needs of Clinical, Ancillary, and Revenue Cycle departments. Excellent verbal and written communications skills required. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to exercise independent judgment through the understanding of hospital policies and procedures. Strong problem solving skills and capability of managing limited resources over a project’s life.

This position requires working in an indoor, environmentally controlled environment when in the office.
