oftware Development Analyst / Java Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position is managed from Helena, Montana, but is expected to be staffed remotely.
The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Government Services State and Local group, which focuses on Healthcare IT solutions for our State and Local government clients.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:- Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
- Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
- Evaluate interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
- Document testing and maintenance of system corrections.
- Participate in design and code peer reviews.
- Perform unit, system and integration testing along with assisting in development of test and conversion plans.
- Prepare deliverables such as design, system and operations documentation.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:- Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience or a Masters degree and 0 years of experience or a High School diploma and 6 years of experience.
- Must be a US Citizen, and must be able to pass a background check, including FBI fingerprint check and National Agency check.
- Must have professional work experience with Java for application development and SQL for database management.
- Proficiency in relational database concepts and experience with systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills for conveying ideas and technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with HTML, JavaScript, , Soap UI, JPA, Java Server Faces and Bootsfaces, Angular, CSS, web services (REST/SOAP) and/or C#/.NET
- Experience using automated testing tools
- Experience with Eclipse and Subversion
- Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports
- Experience working with multiple team members
- Experience using Agile processes (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with Tableau and/or Pentaho reporting tools

Target Salary Range$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
