We’re looking for an Accounting Manager ( a CONTROLLER TO BE EXACT) to oversee financial operations, keep our books in top shape, and work alongside our finance, sales, and operations teams to drive success.
🔹 What You’ll Be Doing:
💰 Accounting & Financial Management – Oversee daily accounting and cash management, maintain financial controls, and ensure GAAP compliance.
📊 Reporting & Analysis – Monitor financial performance, prepare statements, and handle audits like a pro.
🤝 Team Leadership – Supervise accounts payable and accounting staff, guiding them toward excellence.
🛠 Process Improvements – Identify areas for efficiency, refine internal controls, and support cross-department initiatives.
🏡 Home Sales & Work in Progress – Record home sales, track work-in-progress variances, and ensure everything balances perfectly.
📂 Audit & Tax Support – Work with external auditors and tax professionals to keep things compliant and stress-free.
✅ What You Bring to the Table:
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
📆 5+ years of accounting experience (Homebuilding or real estate experience? Even better!)
📚 Deep knowledge of GAAP compliance and financial reporting
💻 Strong MS Office (especially Excel!) skills; experience with Hyphen Brix/BuildPro is a plus
🧐 Sharp attention to detail, accuracy, and analysis
🎤 Excellent communication and leadership skills—because numbers tell a story, and we need a great storyteller!
⏳ Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
