Job Overview:We are looking for a Sr. Director- Sales to join our sales team. The focus of the Sr Director- Sales role is "implementing and executing" on gaining new, add and renewal business. This role will also support the commercial strategy for the Epes General Commodity and Epes Dedicated product lines. This responsibility includes prospecting penetration and accountability, finding sales talent, cultivating sales talent, working the pipeline, and account management, including ultimate responsibility for Epes Dedicated deals and the project management included therein.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a field level sales or sales leadership role.
- Working knowledge of operations/supply chain field with deep knowledge of all Epes product line offerings.
- Financial acumen and the ability to interpret and effectively communicate pricing data to internal and external customers.
- Ability to learn and credibly articulate all Epes products and services to C-level executives both verbally and in writing.
- Skill in various computer software programs including Microsoft Suite and Salesforce CRM.
- Ability to connect and build rapport / relationships with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills, time management and ability to prioritize multiple projects / work streams
- Ability to set goals and follow through to successful completion.
- Willingness to travel as necessary
Responsibilities:- Business and Key Sales:
- Develop and align sales professionals that are in accordance with the Epes strategy.
- Implement corporate sales strategy that aligns with Business Plan Growth and Pretax Objectives.
- Account planning activities to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Advocate and execute marketing campaigns, trade show events and other customer communications that improve market awareness.
- Coordinate and take lead on activities around Epes Dedicated deals.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Thinks from a customer perspective and aligns all measures to meet customer needs and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Proactive to ensure Epes is in position to maximize retention.
- Cross selling and up selling opportunities to improve customer relationship platform.
- Explores Innovative approaches to address specific customer needs and resolving issues.
- Develop and maintain Executive level customer relationships on behalf of Epes.
- People Management:
- Recruit, lead, motivate, coach and develop sales professionals.
- Manage resources to meet business objectives.
- Identify training needs and monitor progress.
