Job Overview:
Furnsaj Bakery and Restaurant is seeking a friendly, efficient, and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while accurately processing transactions. You’ll ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for every guest, handling cash, credit card payments, and assisting with any inquiries related to our menu or services.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
Process customer transactions accurately, including cash, credit/debit card payments, and mobile payments.
Provide customers with detailed information about menu items, specials, and bakery offerings.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized cashier station, ensuring a tidy and professional work environment.
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintain accurate cash register drawers and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
Assist with bagging bakery items and packaging food to-go with care and attention to detail.
Taking orders and running food.
Monitor inventory and inform the management team about low-stock items or potential issues.
Follow all company policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation standards.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere by working collaboratively with colleagues.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred, especially in a fast-paced restaurant or retail environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and transactions.
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a busy environment.
Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
Basic math skills for handling payments and providing change.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
