About the Job:
The Quality Technician is part of the Quality Control team, performing product and process inspections and final product release activities for Quality Assurance. Additionally, the Quality Technician in collaboration with internal key stakeholders and final review, participates in the drafting and updating of work instructions and policies & procedures related to quality control and inspection activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspects incoming component parts for medical device products, utilizing inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, pin gages, gage blocks, vision systems, automated measuring systems (CMM).
- Performs final release inspection and Device History Record (DHR) reviews
- Supports Document Change Orders to improve quality documentation and processes.
- Supports NPD projects/design changes by inspecting proto-types and component parts for first article inspections & qualifying new suppliers.
- Supports quality system changes and other projects.
Qualifications & Skills
Education Required: High school diploma required. Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
Experience Required: Two years related manufacturing or documentation experience.
- Familiar with safety equipment and procedures (ESD, MSDS, , etc.)
- Ability to read, understand and execute approved procedures.
- Ability to multi-task and keep track of time sensitive activities to maintain deadlines.
- Ability to create technical documents that meet internal and external regulatory requirements.
- Ability to use MS Office documents.
- Ability to evaluate problems and recommend potential solutions.
- Ability to interpret and calculate basic statistics.
