What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a Material Manager (Stainless Steel) who will be responsible for leading all aspects of material planning, purchasing and inventory control to ensure the right material is available at the right time and cost. This role plays a critical part in supporting customer demand, improving operational efficiency, and optimizing working capital.
This is a hybrid role based out of either East Butler, PA or Norcross, GA.

What You Will Do:
Develop and implement materials management strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels and availability of materials.
Oversee procurement processes, vendor management, and material sourcing to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Buyers.
Collaborate with a variety of departments, including Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to forecast material needs and align with customer demands.
Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships; negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.
Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain efficiency, working capital utilization, and process standardization.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all material handling and storage operations.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in materials management, preferably in metals distribution, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of inventory control methods, lean manufacturing, and logistics best practices.
A strong understanding of importing processes and regulations.
APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
