We're looking for an invested, dynamic, people-focused manager for the new Broker-Distributed Commercial Insurance Program Solutions Development Department. The team includes business analysts from the sector and advisors who lead various projects and initiatives. Team members are involved in projects to set up the brokerage business line, as well as projects and initiatives to implement the business plan to support the growth of brokerage-based P&C insurance manufacturing (ICPEI). The brokerage-based P&C insurance sector is central to the strategic growth directions of both DGIG and Desjardins Group. As the manager, you'll be building a young, dedicated and engaged team. You'll also be responsible for guiding your team members as they prioritize, launch, work on and deliver projects and initiatives. You'll be involved in both the ideation and structure phases to get the projects off the ground and in determining the content of the files your team members are working on. You will also be a leader and coach who helps to build a new business line, helps your team evolve and guides employees in their career development. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Help build the brokerage-based business line, particularly by quickly delivering projects and initiatives.
- Continue building the team and enhancing its knowledge and overall expertise.
- Oversee human resources management: staffing/hiring, performance evaluation, engagement, coaching, etc.
- Assign advisors and business analysts to initiatives and projects based on their interests and talents and the team's needs.
- Be a leader in project and initiative management, using both agile and classic methods (waterfall).
- Ensure that team members are familiar with the content and meet deadlines.
- Ensure that the team is able to create value by delivering projects and initiatives.
- Align the team's work with current project management processes at DGIG and Desjardins (project management office, macro-allocation, etc.).
- Establish management and communication practices that support change management, talent attraction and retention, skills development, employee engagement and diversity, in keeping with Desjardins's values.

What we offer*- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience, including three years of project management and implementation experience and two years of management or leadership experience
- Experience drafting and presenting documents
- Knowledge of French is required
- Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
- Knowledge of commercial and brokerage P&C insurance
