Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking behavior technicians to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols, written by the clinical supervisor and/or case manager, utilizing the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) with children and adults receiving behavior analytic services in the home, clinic, and community settings. The behavior technician implement interventions and collects data in accordance with clients' individual treatment plan under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor (Board Certified Behavior Analyst [BCBA]) and Case Manager.
Duties:
- Implement 1:1 behavioral interventions with clients receiving behavior analytic services utilizing evidence-based behavior analytic strategies.
- Implement interventions meant to reduce socially inappropriate behavior and teach skills to strengthen functionally equivalent replacement behaviors.
- Implement skill acquisition targets to teach communication, social skills, play skills, pre-academic skills, and self-help skills.
- Collect accurate data on all skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals and adhere to written teaching, prompting, and error correction procedures.
- Ensure that all session notes, data, timesheets, and other required documentation are submitted in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with all members of client treatment teams regarding client progress and barriers to treatment.
- Receive ongoing supervision and accept feedback and direction from case managers and clinical supervisors.
- Engage in other work tasks as directed, such as creating client materials and assisting with client programming.
- Uphold client dignity and maintains a safe and organized therapeutic environment for clients.
- Maintain client confidentiality and protect the protected health information (PHI) of all clients and staff.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings as required by Verbal Dimensions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active RBT certification
- Bachelor's degree in behavior analysis or related field, preferred
- One year experience providing ABA therapy, preferred
- Experience working with children, preferred
Basic and Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Assume various positions for extended periods of time (i.e. squatting, kneeling, sitting, standing, etc.)
- Willingness to work with a variety of clients who exhibit socially inappropriate behavior
- Give and receive detailed communication both verbally and in writing
- Possess reliable transportation
- Undergo and pass a criminal background check
- Adhere to all company policies and the RBT Ethics Code (2021)
