Position Overview:We are hiring a Head of Marketing to lead brand marketing across all Summit Golf Brands. This role will report to the CMO and will have six direct reports and one indirect report. This role will drive creative, content, and go-to-market strategies while supporting the wholesale and DTC business, ensuring alignment with brand goals and revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with strong executional chops and a deep understanding of both brand and performance marketing.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Management & Cross-Functional Leadership: Oversee and manage all ongoing marketing projects and cross-functional initiatives from conception through execution-ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met across internal teams, agency partners, and external stakeholders.
- Brand Ownership: Lead all brand marketing strategy and execution for Zero Restriction, B. Draddy, and Fairway & Greene, ensuring each brand maintains its own voice and aesthetic while aligning with the broader Summit vision.
- Wholesale Channel Support: Collaborate closely with wholesale leadership to ensure marketing initiatives and brand moments are fully executed across key accounts, retailers, and partnerships.
- Creative & Content Oversight: Manage campaign development, visual storytelling, graphic design, copywriting, and all creative deliverables across owned and paid channels.
- DTC E-Commerce Seasonal Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to identify and seasonal product capsules, craft compelling seasonal storytelling, develop mood boards, plan and execute seasonal photo shoots, and strategize go-to-market plans for product launches.
- Analytics and Reporting: Manage analytics to assess business success by acquisition channel. Develop comprehensive recap presentations for seasons or key moments (e.g., holidays), including competitive analyses, to inform and improve future strategy developments.
- Photo & Video Shoots: Lead and execute brand photo and video shoots including seasonal campaigns, ambassador stories, and content for eComm and wholesale usage.
- Strategic Collaborations: Identify, manage, and execute meaningful brand collaborations, partnerships, and product capsules that drive brand awareness and customer acquisition.
- Moment-Based Marketing: Partner with product and design teams to create screen-printed or special-edition product stories tied to key moments (e.g., events, ambassadors, major championships, or holidays) that drive sell-through and storytelling.
- Digital Marketing Leadership: Support the digital marketing team and agency partners across performance marketing, affiliate, retention, loyalty, and lifecycle campaigns.
- Agency & Vendor Management: Oversee external agency relationships and freelancers across paid media, PR, production, and creative execution.
- Events & Activations: Lead the planning and execution of brand events, VIP experiences, and ambassador engagements.
- Public Relations & VIP Seeding: Drive PR strategy, media outreach, and gifting programs that increase visibility and reinforce brand equity.
- Ambassador & Athlete Relations: Curate, manage and activate athlete and ambassador partnerships in alignment with brand goals.
- Partner Management: Serve as a direct point of contact for the PGA Tour, Legends, USGA, and other key partners-managing asset delivery, approvals, usage rights, and integrated marketing plans.
- Budget Management: Support marketing budgets and contribute to marketing P&L performance and reporting.
Qualifications:- 10+ years of brand and marketing experience in the lifestyle, fashion, sports, or consumer product industries.
- Strong understanding of both brand marketing and digital growth strategies.
- Proven experience managing seasonal and moment-based campaigns, photo/video production, and creative development.
- Experience supporting both wholesale and DTC businesses.
- Ability to balance long-term brand building with near-term business performance.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in New York City four days per week.
Preferred Experience:- Experience in the golf, outdoor, or performance apparel industry.
- Familiarity with Shopify and omnichannel marketing models.
- Previous experience working with large sports organizations or licensing partners.
