We are currently seeking for a Maintenance Mechanic Assistant, for our food manufacturing facility.
You must have the necessary skills, aptitude, and knowledge to perform mechanical diagnostics and repairs. This position will perform all maintenance functions for production equipment, including routine inspection and repair or replacement of defective/ faulty parts on machines and related equipment. The candidate must work full-time and be flexible with working overtime and weekends during the high peak season. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance and 2 years of experience in electrical work is required. The ability to speak, write, and read Spanish is a plus.
Monday-Friday, OT and some weekends.
Job functions:
Perform repair and maintenance involving disassembly, overhaul, assembly, and adjustments.
Maintain proper tool/parts inventory for specified jobs.
Complete maintenance projects on time to ensure production goals.
Maintain up-to-date written or data input spreadsheets on all equipment repairs.
Ensure that all equipment repairs are performed accurately to the manufacturer's standards.
Performs other miscellaneous mechanical and maintenance duties as assigned.
Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
Read and write in English/Spanish a Plus.
Mechanically Inclined with the ability to Maintain parts inventory and contact list.
Read Blueprints and Schematics, Read and Understand Equipment manuals.
Must possess a 2-year electrical experience and be able to Diagnose equipment and control panel failures.
Capable of training staff to operate equipment and make minor repairs when necessary.
Create and use SOP for equipment and maintain a PM program for all equipment.
Experience maintaining and repairing Industrial/Manufacturing Machines is required.
Ability to work well with others in a "team" environment and under pressure.
Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing Safety: (bending at the waist, lifting above the waist, and lifting below the waist) Kneeling, reaching, grasping (use of both hands), squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements with both hands, use of wrists (flexing or rotating with both wrists) work extended periods in the same position, lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.
Requirements:
Must be available to work OT if needed during peak time.

Must have transportation to get to work.
Must be ok with working in freezing temperatures
