Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Part-Time Salesperson to join our team. This commission-based role is ideal for individuals with a strong sales background, a hospitality background, an appreciation for art, and a desire to thrive in a dynamic and creative environment. In this role, you will also manage online listings, including photographing, researching, and marketing artworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Client Relations:
- Promote and sell high-end artworks to potential clients through personalized engagement and consultation.
- Build and maintain relationships with art collectors, interior designers, and corporate clients.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, utilizing your hospitality experience to enhance client interactions and create memorable experiences.
- Prepare and present customized proposals to clients, highlighting the unique aspects of our art pieces.
- Online Listings & Management:
- Photograph artworks for online listings, ensuring high-quality images that showcase the pieces effectively.
- Conduct thorough research on artworks and artists to create compelling descriptions and narratives for online platforms.
- Manage and update online inventory across various sales platforms and the gallery website.
- Marketing:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote artworks and gallery events through social media, email campaigns, and other digital channels.
- Stay informed about current art market trends and the inventory available in the gallery.
- Participate in gallery events, openings, and exhibitions to network and engage with potential clients.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the gallery team to create effective sales and marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the art sector or luxury goods.
- A background in hospitality is highly desirable, enhancing client relations and customer service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to connect with diverse clientele.
- Knowledge of art history and a keen interest in contemporary art trends.
- Proficiency in photography and experience with online listing platforms (e.g., Instagram, Artsy, Ebay, Wix, etc.).
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a commission-based environment.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive commission structure, allowing for significant earning potential based on sales performance. Additional incentives and bonuses may apply based on achievement and gallery growth.
