Our customer, a distinguished Engineering Firm located in Cheektowaga, NY, is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer for a Full-Time Direct Hire opportunity.
The pay range for this position is $75,000-$90,000/year with some flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Working under the leadership of our senior engineers, this position will be responsible for assistance in all phases of
plumbing & fire protection engineering design and construction administration services including:
• Drafting of electrical systems using AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Production of construction documents including plans, details, specifications, and equipment schedules.
• Lighting and power layouts and calculations.
• Research and application of Codes and standards.
• Selection of equipment and design of complete electrical lighting, power, and low voltage systems.
• Coordination with other engineering disciplines and architectural trades.
• Participation in design discussions and meetings.
• Documentation and analysis of existing building systems.
• Review of contractor RFI's, equipment submittals and on-site construction inspection visits.
Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant electrical design experience in commercial, educational, healthcare,
housing, and municipal projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering is preferred; we will consider an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology
or similar field
• EIT and LEED accreditation is a plus.
