POSITION TITLE: Parts receiving/ Parts to service
The purpose of the Parts receiving/ Parts to service position is to assist with the day-to-day operation of our parts and accessory retail business by receiving parts orders for all departments, Assisting with Parts to Service by processing inventory requests for the service department.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interdepartmental communications - Act as liaison for retail service customers and in-house technicians
- Inventory Control - Timely updates to and maintenance of physical inventory stock and through IDS
- Parts Receiving - Receive shipping orders, charge out accordingly and contact necessary people following procedures in a reasonable amount of time
- Inventory Control - Follows back-orders closely to ensure prompt delivery upon receipt. Notifies customer/service upon receipt of back-ordered items. Works directly with manufacturers’ order analysts to expedite back-ordered parts. Notifies supervisor of any problems with delays in deliveries
- Inventory Control - Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, commercial and wholesale accounts, and over the counter sales
- Pricing Awareness - Assists in establishing pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty
- Sales Tracking -Records lost sales accurately to determine if inventory needs to be added.
- Professional Appearance - Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.
- Daily Task - Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Expense Control - Assist in efficient inventory control to limit special orders (i.e., dally bin checks, processing, returns, posting, etc.); Maintain effective repair order controls; Track parts and supplies provided to technicians per repair order; Distribute special orders promptly and ensure a consistent follow-up policy to relieve inventory
REQUIREMENTS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Professional appearance
- Ability to communicate at a high level, both verbally and in writing
- Organizational and computer skills are required for the position
- Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and process driven
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background/drug screen
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
