We are seeking a reliable and compassionate individual to join our team as a Pet Sitter/Dog Walker. In this part-time, as-needed role, you will provide exceptional care for pets (cats & dogs), ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and happy while their owners are away or busy. Your responsibilities will include dog walking, feeding, administering medications (if needed), and providing companionship for pets in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Walk dogs on a regular schedule and ensure their exercise and outdoor needs are met. Visit cats on schedule per client's needs.
• Feed and provide fresh water to pets based on their individual schedules.
• Administer medications as instructed by the pet owner.
• Ensure pets are safe and comfortable during your time with them.
• Provide companionship and playtime to pets to ensure their mental and emotional well-being.
• Communicate with pet owners about their pet’s behavior, needs, and any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of pet care services provided.
• Clean up after pets during walks or sitting sessions (e.g., picking up waste).
• Respond to emergency situations with care and follow appropriate protocols.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience with pet care, especially dogs, preferred but not required.
• Strong love for animals and a passion for providing them with the best care.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions from pet owners.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to send updates and ask questions when needed.
• Reliable and punctual, with a flexible schedule.
• Ability to handle pets of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Must be physically capable of walking dogs of various sizes and energy levels.
• A trustworthy individual who can be relied upon to care for pets in their owner’s absence.
Additional Information:
• Part-time, on-call basis, with flexible hours.
• Must have access to transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Compensation based on experience and duties performed.
