(Job Overview)
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Class A Commercial Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while complying with all road regulations and company policies. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for both the driver and the cargo.
(Key Responsibilities)
* MUST BE ABLE TO STAY OUT AT LEAST 2 WEEKS *
Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport goods to various destinations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel usage in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Load and unload freight as needed, ensuring cargo is securely fastened.
Report any accidents, delays, or issues with vehicles to dispatch in a timely manner.
Maintain excellent customer service when interacting with clients and delivery recipients.
Ensure proper documentation of shipments, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and inspection reports.
Perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
(Qualifications)
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations (e.g., DUIs, license suspension).
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial driver or related driving position.
Ability to operate heavy-duty vehicles, including tractors and trailers.
Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
Familiarity with GPS and route planning systems.
