The North America region employes c. 200 people and has distribution and production facilities in:
-Santa Ana (California): Production and Distribution organization
-Jackson (Georgia): Production and Distribution organization
-St. Charles (Missouri) : Distribution organization
-Significant number of remote workers throughout the USA
Pelsis is private equity owned with annual revenues of c. €160m, of which the US market contributes a significant proportion. We are looking to more than double scale by 2027.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The General Manager (GM) North America will be responsible for leading and building a diverse team to drive company results and support organic sales growth.The GM is responsible for the daily management of all activities of the US entity. This role is responsible for the implementation of the objectives of the company as agreed with the CEO (Alex Ashmore) and wider Global Leadership Team (GLT), of which the GM North America is a member.
·P&L and Balance Sheet: full responsibility for region
·Business Development and growth plan for the region. Creating the detailed strategic plan and operational roadmap for the company, which supports the agreed to Group strategy
·Distribution and production facilities in North America
·Key member of the Global Leadership Team (GLT), with responsibility for selected activities such as strategy, customer alignment, suppliers in different channels and sales growth in the region as well as wider global growth initiatives.
·Customer Relations - overall responsibility for customer relationships with direct engagement where appropriate, particularly with larger clients
·Coordination with broader relationships within Pelsis e.g. with Key Account Managers, Portfolio Management and all other group functions (such as Operations, Finance, HR, Transformation which includes Sales).
·Driving sales results for each sales segment to reach the target and growth objectives
·Revising the operational roadmaps to deliver the agreed short and long-term KPI’s
·Supply chain development for region in conjunction with VP Ops/Business Excellence
·Supporting group activities throughout Pelsis as and when required
·Identification of local M&A targets with the M&A team– PMI execution when necessary
·People development planning for region, with CHRO
·Director of local legal entities
·Formal relationship with labor force/unions where appropriate
Key Challenges:
·Further build a global business achieving industry leading delivery KPIs
·Drive sales throughout the region ensuring cross selling of group products
·Advise Portfolio Management on the development and product pipeline needed for the region
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
·The ideal candidate would have up to 20-25 years of significant business experience preferably with a manufacturing or assembly background
·Significant experience as a General Manager/ P&L Leadership
oProven GM experience in distribution and retail
oFinancially literate and experience driving a P&L
oManaging supply chain (warehouse and/or manufacturing)
ofocused on productivity as well as quality and cost conscious
oTeam player, committed to agreed team results and global outcomes as defined by the CEO.

oProven functional expertise in sales and marketing
oIntimate knowledge of B2B and B2C channels to market
·Business Development Experience

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree, mandatory. Advanced Degree a plus
Language--- Fluent English. Spanish proficiency a plus
