Geosyntec has an opportunity available for a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Consultant - Recruiter to join our growing Talent Acquisition team. This position can sit in any of our Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Gold Coast offices. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of recruitment and selection of top talent. You will serve as a talent advisor, developing and maintaining a strong and diverse talent pipeline, and serving as a recruiting process expert. This role will become an advisor to the business in market trends, talent demands, employment law, and compliance.

Our business is growing in Australia. We now have over 110 practitioners across the country, with offices in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Gold Coast. In 2022, Red Earth Engineering joined the Geosyntec family of companies, bringing with them some of the very best expertise in the mine tailings and water dam sectors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Fast paced full lifecycle recruitment, with a process for consistently sourcing, tracking, and maintaining a high volume of candidates while maintaining open lines of communication with stakeholders.
- Establish a creative sourcing & recruitment strategy to proactively find and screen quality candidates.
- Establish trust and partnership with business leaders to help influence talent strategy while executing on hiring deliverables.
- Build trust through consistency and a strong operating rhythm in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to help scale and manage company growth.
- Embed yourself into the business and into your teams to understand the practice areas and market trends, technical disciplines, and culture of the team.
- Develop a strong understanding of the mission while learning how to effectively pitch the team and opportunity, ultimately closing exceptional technical talent for the organization.
- Track and analyze pipeline and performance data to gain insights into areas of opportunity and translate that into a data-driven narrative that enables increased momentum.
- Build recruiting strategies that contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing best practices around referrals and process improvements where needed.
- Drive diversity hiring initiatives to ensure we’re delivering a diverse slate of candidates while being an ambassador for internal DEI efforts.
- Provide a consistent and positive candidate experience throughout the entire recruiting process with proactive communication and engagement.
- Partner with the HR department on, data management, job advertisements, job offers, social media initiatives, and best practices;
- Educate hiring managers on recruitment processes and laws impacting the hiring of human capital;
- Develop relationships throughout the region; meet regularly with Branch Managers and hiring managers to understand business needs to develop and recommend effective and strategic recruiting strategies.
- Review and recommend process improvements to help ensure our recruitment process is efficient, effective, and proactively meeting the needs of the business.
- Stays abreast of external marketplace/industry trends and shares recommendations for consideration; and
- May be involved in other recruitment-based programs, including diversity initiatives, university outreach efforts, immigration, manager training opportunities, etc.
Education and Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources or related field. (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience recruiting for technical roles; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Strong network of recruiter and candidate relationships in the environmental/engineering and/or mining industry. (preferred)
- Agency recruiting combined with internal experience. (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. (required)
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems. (required)
- Must be able to work with a high sense of urgency coupled with the ability to remain flexible and creative within a dynamic environment and deliver on commitments and deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven relationship-building ability.
- Well-spoken and demonstrates a professional presence.
- Current knowledge and ability to leverage industry best-practices and trends.
- Ability to travel up to 15% to other regional office locations. (required)
