Health of Africa 2050
This Strategic Plan (Health of Africa 2050) of the Africa Health Organisation (AHO) sets out the health impact and outcome results that AHO and its partners commit to achieve collectively by the end of 2050.
By 2050, Africa and the countries aim to achieve the highest attainable standard of health, with equity and well-being for all people throughout the life course, with universal access to health and universal health coverage, resilient health systems, and quality health services.
The challenges to overcoming health disparities in Africa are exacerbated by a lack of health service capacity in disease detection, prevention, and control, by inadequate implementation of policies designed to improve health equity among populations, and by lack of consistent disaggregated data to track and reveal disparities.
AHO seeks qualified professionals from different fields, from medicine to engineering, geography to sociology and public health to the environment.
