Escape Room LA is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for part time staff for our escape room games in Downtown LA. In the games, participants work together to solve clues and puzzles in a race to beat the clock before time runs out.
Required experience:
• 2+ years working with the public / customer service
• Theatrical or performing experience is a plus - but is not required.
Job description and responsibilities:
• Serve as game masters inside the escape rooms during games, providing hints to participants if needed, and insuring that rules are being followed.
• After the game, explain to participants how to arrive at puzzle solutions.
• Set up and reset the game rooms, and insure the games run smoothly.
• Greet participants in reception area as they arrive and check them in. Explain the procedures, review the rules, and answer questions.
• Perform light cleaning duties and basic maintenance of room props.
Qualifications:
Customer service and experience working with the public is required. We're looking for people who are both personable and outgoing, well-organized and detail-oriented. You must be able to deal with different types of personalities in a calm and professional manner. You must be able to work as part of a team.
Hours:
Weekend availability is required - both Saturdays and Sundays. Please apply only if you are fully available on weekends. Most staff also work 1 to 3 weekday shifts.
** You must be available over the holidays in December **
Compensation is an hourly fee of $22. All staff must first participate in an 8-10 hour training period (schedule tbd), for which you will be paid an hourly fee of $18.
