Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with a strong background in industrial and warehouse ground up projects.
The successful candidate will oversee all stages of construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage on-site construction activities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight: Manage and oversee all aspects of industrial and warehouse construction projects from inception to completion.
Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and final project delivery.
Team Management: Lead and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and site staff, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment, complying with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, manage costs, and ensure financial objectives are met. Report on financial performance and project status.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and other essential records.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction, minimizing project delays and maintaining productivity.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a proven track record in industrial and warehouse ground up construction projects.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend), MS Office Suite, and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations specific to industrial and warehouse projects.
Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification, First Aid/CPR certification, and other relevant industry certifications preferred.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, manage multiple subcontractors, and ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in all aspects of construction management.
