Responsibilities
Responsible for overall performance of the permitting and inspection process which will be key to the company’s abilities to meet committed customer expectations
Manage all resources that are responsible for your branch(es) permitting and inspections processes
Review pre/post install for inspection readiness as well as determine if completed install requires any updated permits with the city
Acknowledge and dispatch pre-PTO fixes as well as project manage inspection fails
Look for opportunities to drive down install cycle time through the permitting process. Regularly review permit queues and backlogs as well as project manage any delays
Be well versed in specific details for your local AHJ requirements as it relates to P&I and ensure the AHJ database is updated with local requirements. Represent Sunrun’s perspective with AHJs as needed
Build bridges and negotiate solutions, influencing and communicating within and outside your team, driving decisions across all levels of the organization
Establish and maintain professional business relations with stakeholders to ensure a high level of service and customer satisfaction
Build, manage, and implement new procedures to improve the efficiency of workflows
Drive schedule density with inspection scheduling and resources
Drive performance expectations and metrics including Inspection fail rates and Permission to Operate cycle times
Coordinate with Branch Management to implement process improvements based on inspections pass/fail rate
Communicate with jurisdictions, the Construction Supervisor, and Engineering Team members to resolve any redline issues
Organizes office operations and procedures (office supply orders, event coordination, maintains Branch filing system, and timekeeping when applicable)
Ensures Order Management and Accounting Departments (A/P and A/R) have necessary project details for job invoicing
Track audit reports and review (or delegate) post-install reviews for submission
10% travel required
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years experience in commercial solar construction
Minimum 2 years construction leadership experience
Must maintain a clear driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license
Knowledge of PV design and installation processes
Working knowledge of local jurisdictional and national code requirements
Basic electrical knowledge needed while doing inspection ready checks
Ability to perform risk analysis, critical thinking
Ability to provide solutions to the benefit of the company and projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent leadership skills
Strong work ethic, demonstrated credibility, reliability, integrity and trustworthiness
Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas, to drive results
Proficient with Google Suite, MS Excel, MS Word and project management tools (MS Project)
Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle) and CRM systems (Salesforce.com)

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$90,556.99 to $120,742.65
Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards.
