Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in HVAC and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with mechanical construction contractors and overseeing the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. This role requires a deep understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, for HVAC and plumbing projects. Oversee the execution of HVAC and plumbing projects, ensuring they meet design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with mechanical construction contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
2.Budget and Cost Management: Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial objectives are met. Identify and mitigate cost overruns by implementing effective cost control measures. Prepare and submit regular financial reports to senior management.
3.Team Management: Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel. Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and ensure team members have the necessary resources to succeed. Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment with project goals.
4.Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all HVAC and plumbing work is performed to the highest quality standards and adheres to industry regulations and codes. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality. Resolve any issues related to quality, safety, or compliance in a timely manner.
5.Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to HVAC and plumbing systems and develop mitigation strategies. Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, including technical challenges, delays, or unforeseen obstacles.
6.Client Communication and Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project. Provide regular project updates, including progress reports, risk assessments, and budget status. Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations.
7.Contract and Documentation Management: Review and manage contracts with mechanical construction contractors, ensuring all terms and conditions are met. Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project records.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
·Proven experience 5+ years as a Construction Project Manager in the HVAC and plumbing industry.
·Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
·Experience working with mechanical construction contractors.
·Proficiency in project management software and tools.
·Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
·Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
·Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
·PMP or similar certification is a plus.
