The Role:As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the organization. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, compliance with accounting standards, and the effective management of financial reporting processes. This position requires a high level of expertise in accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior accounting staff.
What You'll Do: - Prepare journal entries and actively participate in month-end, year-end financial closing process and reporting
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliation
- Manage fixed assets
- Ensure accuracy of financial statement in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Property, sales, and use tax and franchise tax returns
- Reconcile credit card activity daily
- Collection calls/communications
- Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Wire payments
- Showroom sales consolidation and reporting
- Perform ad-hoc financial and accounting reports
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes, Food Safety Standards and related operational procedures
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements What We're Looking For: - Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or commensurate experience
- 5+ years general ledger accounting experience
- Strong MS Office skills, with emphasis on Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention and commitment to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact with all levels of the company
- SAGE X3 financial application experience preferred
Work Environment/Physical Demands: - Ability to sit/stand and use a computer for extended periods of time
- Quiet office environment
Additional Information:Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 annually DOE. This is an exempt position.
