OverviewHussmann's Internship Program provides a meaningful, real-life experience while working as a solutions leader for the food retailing industry. Hussmann interns receive competitive compensation, participate in community stewardship, network with company leadership, and learn about career opportunities available at Hussmann.
The 2025 Hussmann Summer Internship Program will provide the intern with an opportunity to see all areas of HR including supporting the Hussmann Performance Parts business. The Human Resources Intern will primarily partner with the teams to work on employee relations and employee engagement.
Responsibilities You will have the opportunity to:
Oversee the management of employees in a manufacturing plant environment by providing high-level customer service by addressing employee questions related to compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, manning adjustments, and by directing them to the appropriate resources.
Utilize Workday to process administrative, recruiting/hiring, organization, compensation changes for employees.
Report out monthly KPIs to the HR Manager (headcount, demographics report, attendance, FMLA, etc.).
Ideation & Innovation Challenge: Throughout the twelve-week program, Hussmann interns will compete with a team of fellow interns in the Hussmann Ideation & Innovation Challenge. After being divided into cross-functional groups, interns will work to find a solution to the provided problem statement. They will then present the solution to a panel of judges, executive leaders, and the organization to compete in the IIC competition.
QualificationsThe summer internship will run from the second week of May through the second week of August. These dates may be changed to meet the needs of the student.
