This includes educational content, networking opportunities, and expert insights through webinars, workshops, podcasts, and online courses. LUYL also offers consulting services, tools, and strategies to help hosts and investors enhance their listings, maximize occupancy rates, improve guest experiences, and make informed real estate investments. Their goal is to elevate the standards and success of short-term rental businesses and real estate ventures.
Position Summary:
Level Up Your Listing seeks a dynamic Event Manager who excels in driving revenue and executing high-impact events. This role combines some admin, but mainly overseeing and executing large-scale events. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a robust track record in project management or event planning with a knack for orchestrating complex event productions, blending creativity with analytical skills to drive profitability and deliver exceptional experiences.
What You Will Do:
Event Production:
Lead and manage the production of proprietary and bespoke events, ensuring flawless execution from ideation to post-event follow-up.
Source and procure gifted swag items from beauty and wellness brands.
Develop and manage event budgets up to $250,000, maintaining profitability and adherence to financial goals.
Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with venues and vendors.
Develop detailed production schedules, manage on-site coordination, and oversee event setup and teardown.
Collaborate with creative teams and brand sponsors to ensure event creative aligns with budget and vision.
Oversee sponsorship activations, from intimate retreats to large conferences and traveling pop-ups, ensuring high standards and client satisfaction.
Secure conference speakers and arrange travel and accommodations for select speakers.
Manage and delegate tasks to event volunteers and staff, acting as the main point of contact before and during in-person events.
Some administrative tasks such as answering emails and newsletters.
Collaboration and Strategy:
Work closely with founders, including Marketing, Content, and Operations, to ensure cohesive sales and event strategies.
Regularly attend industry events to build relationships and stay updated on market trends.
Utilize CRM tools to manage sales activities, customer relationships, and track performance.
Implement client feedback to continuously improve processes and event offerings.
Participate in internal and external project calls, providing production updates and resolving conflicts as they arise.
Skills Needed:
Proven experience in event management, particularly in digital and in-person events, with a track record of exceeding targets.
Expertise in event production, including budget management, vendor negotiation, and on-site coordination.
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate confidently and build lasting relationships.
High emotional intelligence, adept at navigating complex situations and problem-solving in high-pressure environments.
Proficiency in CRM and event management software; familiarity with Google Docs, Dropbox, and Social Tables, Squarespace, Canva, QuickBooks, TicketSpice, or Keynote is a plus.
Willingness to travel as needed for events (around 2-4 times per year) and team-building activities.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in event management, demonstrating significant revenue growth and successful event execution.
Strong portfolio showcasing diverse, high-quality events and high-value advertising deals.
Robust network of industry contacts and proven ability to foster strategic partnerships.
Ability to work effectively in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
Excellent and persuasive communication skills, including an ability to create and deliver convincing arguments verbally and in writing.
Strong organizational, email, and analytical skills.
