DescriptionThe Sales & Marketing Rep will be a road warrior traveling to be in front of customers and supporting them where needed. This person will also gather information about new product needs in support of ITA's new functionality in the Assembly Area as well as supporting tasks to assist the Sales/Marketing department. Responsible for managing price list and requests as well as preparing external marketing communications.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Visit customers and potential customers regularly throughout North and South America
- Host regular calls with customers and potential customers to identify business opportunities, share status of current business, and listen to any customer feedback and/or needs
- Support new product development by gathering customer input to design requirements, market-based pricing, and competitor information
- Hold customers accountable to purchase commitments and contractual agreements
- Hold IHI personnel accountable to customer contractual requirements and ensure customer compliance regulations are met, including coordination with other departments, proper documentation, files, online portal management, etc.
- Be capable of writing marketing copy for IHI products; designing marketing flyers and advertisements is a plus; creating posts for social media also a plus
- Assist in developing business justification and appropriate documents for new programs which may include, but is not limited to, pre-bidding approval (Phase 0) and bidding approval (before quote submission) documents and meetings in conformance with the Sales process
- Coordinate with Aftermarket Account Manager to support customer needs and understand customer order status in order to communicate with customers in real time regarding order fulfillment
- Establish market-based prices for all goods and manage price sheet for Aftermarket products based on intercompany costs, margin expectations of the business, and overseas pricing
- Be able to use Excel effectively for reporting and analysis purposes
RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing or related fields
Experience: 7+ Years experience in sales, account management, product marketing or related field. Experience in automotive manufacturing strongly preferred.
