About the role: Our team is seeking a Professional with high level customer communication experience and technical expertise with publication software. Excellent listening and communication skills and an ability to communicate technical information to audiences with a variety of backgrounds and levels of software expertise. Has a proactive approach to prioritizing responsibilities and working with a team to deliver
results. A strong understanding of the scholarly publication landscape, business models, and industry trends.
How you will make an impact: - Generating leads and qualifying prospecting opportunities for our peer review workflow products.
- Managing product demos for customers, answering follow-up questions, and ensuring presentations are relevant to
customer pain points. Clearly communicate the user journey of each product and key components of UX software. - Researching customer needs and personas to ensure information is customized for the specific needs of each customer.
- Liaise between the product and sales team on the product roadmap and how product roadmap information will be
presented to prospective customers (key feature needs, timeline, expertise about the product architecture and design). - Providing technical expertise to answer RFPs from customers, giving specific feedback for proposals and supporting the
team to ensure customer deadlines are met for returning information. - Track and report on the impact and value of pre-sales activities.
Desired Skills: - Bachelor's degree required.
- 2-3 years minimum experience in scholarly publishing
with experience using or maintaining publishing
software. - Able to travel by plane or train as needed (10-15%)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills,
working knowledge of technology support & sales,
comfortable representing the company and product at
industry meetings, webinars and customer engagements. - Advanced Outlook, PowerPoint skills. Advanced Excel
skills and good understanding of publishing software
capabilities. - Self-directed with demonstrated experience meeting
objectives and delivering results. - Ability to collaborate with and influence colleagues in
various departments at all levels within Wiley to achieve
business goals. - Highly organized; Strong oral, written, and presentation
skills. Strong interpersonal skills with customers in both
virtual and in-person settings.
