Essential Functions:As product marketing manager, you will work collaboratively with Summit 7 Product Management, Marketing, Partners, Professional Services, and our Managed Services Teams to create and evangelize technical and product marketing materials to illustrate new and existing product capabilities, value propositions, and competitive differentiators to the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
- Support product management in creating documentation, marketing strategy, and messaging for new and existing products; evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities
- Create technical and product marketing materials including sales collateral, solution briefs, product market and competitive analyses, internal presentations, and more.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Platforms (Office 365 and Azure) and their alignment to compliance standards of the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of DIB security compliance standards including NIST, CMMC, and ITAR and their impact on product portfolio.
- Support partner strategy and management to ideate and develop products with DIB vendor partners that meet sales/profitability goals
- Engage closely with sales/marketing teams and partners to align product features, use cases, and market pricing and drive revenue and new customer acquisition.
- Research and analyze DIB market to determine competitive positioning, create sales tools to effectively position/price products, and train sales teams on ideal customer profiles.
- Support industry events and conferences; some travel required
Job SpecificationsRequired
- 5-7 years of sales, marketing, or product management experience in a technology-focused business; experience with an IT managed services provider a plus
- 3+ years of product or technical marketing experience; written content experience required
- Excellent communication skills - proven written, verbal, and presentation experience
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in fast-moving technology company
Optional / Desired
- Technical aptitude with DIB contractor experience
- Trade show/industry conference experience
- Social media experience with IT/technology products and solutions
- Entrepreneurial spirit and aptitude for analyzing technology, products, and services
- Experience creating/presenting technical information to people at all technical levels
- Experience with cloud platforms - particularly Microsoft
